About Badeau’s Sea Moss and More

Towards the end of 2017, I began to see more and more Dr. Sebi posts, stories, movies, and documentaries on why a plant based diet is better for you. With the new knowledge I received, I realized that controlling what I eat and drink would help me become a stronger person altogether. I’ve always loved exercising. It challenges me physically, mentally, and spiritually. If a plant based diet could improve my lifestyle, I was all for it

 

While trying to achieve the best version of myself, I really began to see how I was contradicting myself with my eating habits. In the beginning of 2018, I told myself I'm going to stop eating meat all together! Wow! Did I just say that?? I doubted if I could go without eating meat because I grew up eating meat all my life. Everyone I knew ate meat, and I didn’t know there was a correlation to meat and an unhealthy lifestyle back then. I lacked discipline in this area because I never thought about the effects of eating meat long term.

 

I started thinking to myself, “If I'm going to stop eating meat for a healthier lifestyle, I'm going to have to stop drinking alcohol also”. I was never a big drinker. It was just something I did socially.

 

Fast forward

2018!!! Happy New Year!!

I attended a friend's New Year’s party and I ate meat for the last time. I ate everything, haha.

 

From Jan 2, 2018. - Present, I have not ate meat.

I stopped drinking alcohol with the exception of having a cup or two on special occasions.

 

Was it easy?

Hmmm... With better preparation, the transition could have gone smoother. The first 2 months were a struggle because I didn't really plan on any meat substitutions. I always felt like I was missing something on my plate(s).I had weird dreams where I would be chased by chickens and nightmares of accidentally eating meat or being tricked into eating it. Ahhh, the struggle was real.

Now I do not crave meat anymore, and I don't even care for the meat substitutions either. My new goal is an alkaline regimen. I'm here to tell you that you can do it even if it is for a short period of time or just to balance out your eating habits. With the right research, preparation, and dedication, you can do anything you set your mind to, especially when your body will benefit from it.
